You’re passionate about a cause. You may be the CEO of a nonprofit, a team leader, or just starting your career. In any case… you’re out to change the world.
Along the way, your organization has changed, grown, and gotten complicated. Developing strategies, measuring performance, organizing people with limited resources and training… it’s all getting harder. And you had no idea how challenging it would be to build consensus with your staff, volunteers, board members, and partners.
You just want to get back to the mission that brought you here.
I’ve been there, too. Over the past fifteen years, I’ve seen organizations crash and burn because of terrible leadership, and I’ve seen others flourish because a leader had the foresight to make simple nudges in the right direction. I’m here to share experiences, tools, and research-based insights that will demystify the “dark art” of building an organization that works.
I want to help you…
- Grow your personal leadership skills,
- Execute practical strategies, and
- Lead your team through positive change
…because you want to get on with your mission and have more impact.
Biography: Jonathan Wiles
I am a nonprofit executive and strategist with fifteen years of cross-cultural leadership experience. As Vice President for Strategy & Program Development at Living Water International, I lead the formation, measurement, and execution of strategic plans across 20 countries, and facilitate organizational learning and innovation.
I also advise other organizations on strategy and change, and serve on the Board of the Accord Network (North America’s largest association of Christian relief and development agencies), where I recently completed a term as Chair.
Prior to joining Living Water ten years ago, I spent six years at Schloss Mittersill—an intentional Christian community and study center in Austria. I completed postgraduate work in biblical and cultural studies at Regent College and earned an MA in International Development from Eastern University, where I am now a PhD student in Organizational Leadership. I am married to Maridyth, a child life specialist and classical educator. We have three precocious children and live in Houston, Texas.
In my free time I read, run, and play board games (we’re currently addicted to Pandemic).
